UK viewers moving to on-demand viewing

About one in four UK viewers now spend the majority of their TV viewing time watching non-linear TV, according to a survey by YouGov.

Some 41% of 18-24 year olds now spend the majority of their TV viewing watching on-demand services, while over 50% of that age group equipped with internet-connected TVs watch no linear TV at all, according to the survey. Over the population as a whole, one in three owners of internet-connected TVs spend most of their TV viewing time watching non-linear services.

Among older viewers, the trend is less pronounced. Some 15% of those over 55 spend most of their time watching on-demand content.
