Disney moves and series for Blinkbox

UK online movie service Blinkbox has signed a deal with Disney UK and Ireland to offer customers a range of titles on-demand, including a number on the same day as their DVD release.

Titles including War Horse and The Muppets will be available on the day of their DVD release. Other titles will include Toy Story, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Mary Poppins, as well as TV shows including Lost, Grey’s Anatomy and Brothers & Sisters.

“This is the latest in a long line of deals with top Studios ensuring that Blinkbox offer the latest releases the same day as DVD. To put it in to context, last week blinkbox had 35 of the top 40 latest movie releases available to watch instantly,” said CEO Michael Comish.
