Cogeco sells Cabovisao

Canadian MSO Cogeco has offloaded its Portuguese subsidiary Cabovisao for €45 million.

The Portuguese cabler has been acquired by European media and telecoms investment group Altice. Cogeco had already written off its Portuguese investment in the third quarter of last year.

Cabovisao is Portugal’s second largest cabler. Cogeco boss Louis Audet said that his company will now focus on its domestic market.
