Paramount’s Hedges steps down

Paramount Pictures International’s vice-president and managing director Chris Hedges is leaving the company and will be replaced by Ian George.

Hedges has worked at the Viacom-owned company for 35 years. He will be replaced by George, who was previously executive vice-president, international marketing. He will report to Paramount International president Anthony Marcoly.

Paramount Pictures International operates a number of branded movie channels and distributes movies including Paranormal Activity, The Adventures of Tin Tin and Super 8. 
“We are grateful to Chris for the tremendous contributions he made during his career at both Paramount and UIP,” Paramount Pictures vice-chairman Rob Moore said in a statement.
