ProSiebenSat.1 set on Fun and Emotions

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1’s forthcoming new pay TV channel will be named ProSieben Fun, according to local reports.

Christoph Bellmer, managing director of ProSiebenSat.1’s digital production subsidiary SevenSenses, said that the comedy channel, which will be launched in the next few months, will be positioned as the “edgy” little brother to ProSieben.

The existing Sat.1 Comedy channel will be renamed Sat.1 Emotions and refocused to target a female audience. ProSiebenSat.1 also plans to launch an HD version of movie channel Kabel Eins Classics, according to the reports.
