UK gets final switchover date

Analogue TV will be completely switched off in the UK on October 24, 2012.

Digital UK, the body tasked with managing switchover, said that the five-year switchover period will be brought to a close next year when the last analogue signals are switched off in Northern Ireland. Digital UK said that the process will come in at £53 million (€60 million) under budget.
