Cablecom launches fast internet and VOD in Basle

Liberty Global-owned Swiss cable operator Cablecom has launched high-speed internet and video-on-demand services in Basle.

Basle residents will be able to access up to 100Mbps services over the Cablecom network. The cable operator is also launching video-on-demand, including HD content, in the capital, as well as an exclusive offer of free catch-up TV from broadcaster Swiss Television, allowing access to programmes for seven days after they are aired. Cablecom also offers on-demand programming from MTV and Nickelodeon. The company has already launched VOD services in the Zurich area and Graubunden.
