Orange looks to Eurosport and ESPN for sports channels sale

France Telecom is in negotiation with Eurosport and Disney’s ESPN for the possible sale of its Orange Sports channels, while continuing to seek a merger between its Orange Cinéma Series channels with Canal Plus’s TPS Star, according to local reports.

Orange’s director of content, Xavier Couture, told French press that negotiations with Canal Plus for the sale of the cinema channels were most advanced, despite interest from other players including an un-named US company.
