Aurora launches new transmitters

Cable network infrastructure provider Aurora Networks has launched a range of new full spectrum transmitters for delivering broadcast and narrowcast services.

The company has introduced the AT3545G series full spectrum transmitters that it says enable cable networks’ evolution to full QAM capabilities, including migration to the future Comcast-driven CMAP (Converged Multiservice Access Platform) deployment.

The first version, the AT3545G-xx-1-AS series C-band DWDM transmitter, supports light analogue channel loading plus QAM loading up to 1GHz for delivering digital services, according to Aurora.  The second version of the transmitter, the AT3545G-xx-2-AS, is optimised for full analogue channel loading up to 550MHz along with QAM channel loading up to 1 GHz. This unit is optimised for node segmentation, according to the company.
