Deutsche Telekom hoping for sharp uptick in IPTV subs

German telco Deutsche Telekom wants to end 2010 with 1.5 million IPTV subscribers, Marc Schwarze, senior product manager, IPTV, told delegates at the IP&TV Forum, Eastern Europe and Eurasia in Istanbul, Turkey.

The telco had less than a million IPTV customers mid-way through the year and was adding them at a rate of about 75,000 a quarter, making the year-end target ambitious.
