Cablecom announces DigiCard price plan

Swiss cable operator Cablecom has announced pricing plans for its DigiCard service, which is based on CI Plus and enables customers to watch digital channels on their TV without needing a set-top box.

The DigiCard has a recommended retail price of CHF99 (€69). A basic package of 55 channels, including one HD channel is then available for no extra charge. The starter package of 80 channels, including one HD channel, costs CHF9. For an extra CHF6 per month customers can get 125 channels, including six HD channels. The Comfort package features 165 channels, including 10 HD channels and costs CHF30 per month. The equivalent prices for customers with set-top boxes are CHF4, CHF19, CHF25 and CHF40 respectively.

Separately, Dutch operator Delta has announced support for CI Plus and has published a list of certified TVs.
