Digiturk renews Eutelsat deal

Turkish pay-TV operator Digiturk has renewed its lease of 12 Eutelsat transponders at 7° East until 2021.

Digiturk, which launched in 2000 and serves 2.5 million homes, currently offers over 170 channels, including six in high definition, which broadcast from Eutelsat’s W3A satellite. The pay-TV operator also leases capacity on other Eutelsat satellites for newsgathering requirements and delivering programmes to the platform’s studios in Istanbul.
