Deutsche Telekom plans to be number one for pay-TV in Germany

Deutsche Telekom plans to become Germany’s market leader for pay-TV.

The telco has announced plans to restructure its business to offset declining revenue in existing businesses such as fixed-line. As well as expanding its TV footprint, it intends to double revenue from five growth areas to almost €30bn by 2015. It has plans to connect up to four million households with fibre by 2012 and to acquire up to three million Entertain TV customers by 2012 and five million by 2015.
