Sky Deutschland demos 3D TV

Pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has demonstrated the live broadcast in 3D TV of a football match between Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburger SV.

The match was broadcast to 120 invited guests, including ex-footballers Franz Beckenbauer and Matthias Sammer, model Barbara Meier and producer Oliver Berben, in the Füllhalle at the Munich Praterinsel.

Sky said the demo was the first live 3D TV event to be shown in Germany.
