News Corp to sell German mobile entertainment company

News Corp is eyeing the sale of its German mobile entertainment company Jamba.

Rupert Murdoch’s media company bought a 51% stake in the mobile content provider, which is known as Jamster in the US, for US$188m (€136m) in 2006 and bought the remaining shares for US$193m in October 2008. However, following a revamp of its digital and mobile businesses, it is looking to sell the company. Buyers reportedly interested in Jamba include Spanish digital entertainment company Zed and Italian mobile media firm Buongiorno.
