Numericable cuts triple-play offer

Numericable has reduced the scope of its cut-price triple-play service.

The French cable operator launched a €19.99 offer at the end of 2009, which provided new customers with 30 or 100Mbps internet access, TV services and unlimited telephone calls to 53 international destinations. Since March 1, Numericable has reduced the unlimited calls offer to French landlines only and now only offers 30Mbps internet. International phone calls proved to be costly for the operator and the service was not in demand, according to reports.

The low-cost package has proved a hit, making up one-third of all packages purchased recently
