Axel Springer names Poland CEO

Former Liberty Global exec Marek Sowa is to become chief executive and president of Axel Springer Poland. Sowa, who was previously deputy chief executive of UPC Polska, will also “handle managerial tasks in Axel Springer’s Central Eastern European operation”. Axel Springer, the European media firm, publishes a number of newspapers and magazines and operators broadcasters in Germany.
