Deutsche Telekom requests merger approval

German telco Deutsche Telekom has requested approval to merge its T-Home fixed-line business with T-Mobile.

The telco has invited its shareholders to an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting in Hanover on November 19 to ask for their approval for the restructuring of its business in Germany. It aims to merge T-Home and T-Mobile to “create a single company in order to increase their competitiveness”.
