TV4 outsources playout to TV4

Swedish broadcaster TV4 has chosen technology provider Ericsson to operate its nationwide playout services as part of a 10-year contract.

Ericsson will run the day-to-say transmission of TV4’s channels for delivery to service providers. The company already manages playout for Canal Plus Nordic, which was acquired by TV4 in 2008. About 40 TV4 employees will be transferred to Ericsson as part of the deal.
