Polsat begins broadband tests

Poland’s leading DTH operator Cyfrowy Polsat has begun testing broadband internet services.

The operator is currently testing broadband in the 850-900Mhz frequency range with select employees. From November 30 it will roll the test out to several thousand customers and, according to president and CEO Dominik Libicki, will launch a commercial broadband service during the first quarter of next year. He said Cyfrowy Polsat, which currently offers pay-TV and MVNO mobile services, will soon become a quad-play operator.
