Satlynx teams up with Arabsat for Iraqi bank network

Broadband satellite equipment provider Satlynx has signed a deal with satellite operator Arabsat to provide a network that will serve as the foundation for a new communications platform for the Central Bank of Iraq.

Iraqi-owned, Luxembourg-based Alfa Consult will lead the US$2.7m (€1.8m) project, which will sees the construction of an interconnect between two facilities in Baghdad and seven other cities across the country.
