M6 rebounds in third quarter

French broadcaster M6 has posted an increase in revenues in its third quarter, reversing losses in the first two quarters of the year.

Advertising revenues were up 2.1% at €136.2. It was down 10.4% in the first half of the year at €370.8m. Overall revenues of €296m were up 9.2% after a decline of 4.3% in the first half total of €678.3m.

RTL-backed M6 said renewed and sustained demand from the FMCG sector was driving the advertising revenue rebound, boosted by strong ratings performance at the main M6 channel. The digital terrestrial channels, including entertainment offering W9, generated advertising revenue of €32m in the quarter, a 20.1% year-on-year increase.
