CSA approves TF1 acquisitions

French media regulator the CSA has approved the acquisition by commercial broadcaster TF1 of digital-terrestrial channel NT1 and Monte-Carlo Participations, which owns an 80% stake in digital-terrestrial broadcaster TMC through its acquisition of parts of the Berda group.

The acquisition must now be approved by France’s competition regulator. The CSA has recommended that the deal be monitored for any impact on competition to ensure that obligations are met.
