Swisscom chooses Motorola gateways

Motorola has announced that Swiss telco Swisscom has selected its Netopia 7300 series of ultra-broadband VDSL2 gateways to deliver advanced multi-play services including high-speed data, voice-over-IP, IPTV including HD channels and home networking.

Swisscom customers will receive a Motorola 7300-44 gateway as part of a basic package that includes voice data. They can upgrade to a Motorola 7347-44 gateway if they also choose to take IPTV services.

The 7347-44 supports up to two voice lines, four 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports, an 802.11b/g Wi-Fi  access point, and a built-in stateful firewall for secure home networking. The 7340-44 is designed for single user households and offers support for one voice line and two10/100Base-T Ethernet ports.
