Viasat secures NBC Universal licensing agreement

Modern Times Group-owned broadcaster Viasat Broadcasting has signed a licensing deal with NBC Universal Television Distribution for exclusive free TV rights in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

The agreement will allow Viasat to broadcast a range of films, including Public Enemies, Inglourious Basterds and Funny People, along with TV series including medical dramas Mercy and Trauma.

Viewers in Scandinavia will be able to watch the NBC Universal content on channels TV3, TV6, TV8 and ZTV in Sweden, TV3, TV3+ and TV3 Puls in Denmark and TV3 and Viasat4 in Norway.
