KDG eyes Pepcom

German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) is interested in acquiring local rival Pepcom, according to press reports.

KDG has contacted the federal cartel office to asses its chances of getting approval for a deal, which is reported to worth below €200m. Pepcom is Germany’s sixth largest cable operator with half a million customers, of which 440,000 are in KDG’s coverage area.
