CBS appoints international channels boss

CBS Studios International, the content arm of the US CBS studio, has appointed Reed Manville to head up its international channels division.

As executive VP, international channels, CBS Studios International, Manville will report to CBS Studios International president Armando Nuñez. He will oversee international channel strategy from LA. Earlier this week CBS announced a joint venture with Liberty Global-backed Chello Zone. The two will create six branded CBS channels for the UK pay TV market.

Manville was previously a consultant and helped broker the CBS-Chello Zone deal. He has also previously worked at CBS, heading its channel operations from 2004-2005. He has also run channels for Paramount and headed up NBC Universal’s Asian channel operations.
