BBC considers Worldwide options

UK public broadcaster the BBC is considering partially spinning off its commercial arm BBC Worldwide.

In an interview with the Guardian, BBC director general Mark Thompson said the BBC was conducting a review of its full ownership of BBC Worldwide and was considering a range of options, including listing the business on the stock market. If it went ahead, Thompson said the BBC would retain control of the business.
