Sony signs up Five for internet TV

Sony has struck a deal with UK commercial broadcaster Five to include its content on Sony’s Bravia Internet Video service. Sony has already struck agreements with internet sites YouTube and Wired to provide their video content on the platform.

The service allows purchasers of Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-ray players to receive video-on-demand programming via their broadband connections. Sony has just unveiled its new range of Bravia TVs, Blu-ray disc players and Blu-ray home cinema systems all with the capability to deliver Bravia Internet Video.

Sony has also just launched the Bravia W5810 and Z5800 TVs with built-in Freesat receivers, allowing purchasers to access the UK’s free-to-air digital satellite platform.
