Arqiva hires former UKTV exec for VOD venture

UK transmission services provider Arqiva has named John Keeling as platform controller of its new video-on-demand service.

Keeling, who was previously controller and chief operating officer of thematic channel provider UKTV, will be responsible for overseeing all programming and marketing functions including brand development and content supply.  

Arqiva plans to develop a VOD platform based on its acquisition of the assets of the abortive Kangaroo joint venture led by the BBC.
