ADB integrates Civolution watermarking

Set-top vendor ADB has integrated Civolution watermarking technology into its digital set-top boxes.

ADB said it was using Civolution’s VTrack solution to embed a unique watermark into video material each time an on-demand programme is distributed, enabling content owners to identify the source of any potential copies. The watermark can survive camcorder-capture and subsequent degradation of the content through internet usage.
