SES revenues up 7%

Satellite operator SES produced another set of strong results as it recorded a 7% rise in revenue during the first half of the year to €843.4m. EBITDA reached €607m, up 10.3% year-on-year.

During the six-month period, SES increased capacity utlisation to 80.5% from 1,101 transponders. SES Astra’s fleet currently carries 78 HD channels serving the European market. Astra2Connect, Astra’s two-way satellite broadband service, now has agreements with 15 customers in 14 European countries and serves 45,000 households.
