DMC chooses iTX

The Chellomedia-owned Digital Media Centre (DMC) has started transferring the playout of eight Chello Zone channels to OmniBus’s iTX production and transmission solution.

The DMC will use the iTX platform to broadcast Reality for three feeds, Club for three feeds and Extreme for two feeds. The DMC said that apart from the scheduled eight Chello Zone channels, the iTX solution can accommodate five extra channels, and can be expanded at a short notice.

The DMC currently plays out over 50 channels on behalf of programmers including MGM, The History Channel, National Geographic and Universal. The facility plans to eventually move all the channels on its original playout platform to iTX.
