NBC Universal Global Networks makes UK changes

NBC Universal Global Networks (NBCU) has realigned its UK programming and marketing departments in a move designed to “to fully maximise the performance and growth of its four UK channel brands and to increase synergy between its international division”.

NBCU has created two content teams to spearhead the development of two channel groups – Sci Fi and Movies24, and Hallmark Channel and Diva TV.
One team will be led by James Newton, who joins NBCU in a newly created role of head of channels, Sci Fi and Movies24. He joins from Paramount Comedy where he was consultant director of programming and planning.

The second team sees programming director Jon Farrar taking a newly expanded role where he will head the UK development of the Hallmark and Diva TV brands as well as developing the NBC global channels.
