Kabel BW to carry Sky Deutschland channels

All seven HD channels broadcast by the renamed German pay-TV platform Sky Deutschland will be carried by cable operator Kabel BW, following an agreement between the pair.

Sky Deutschland, formerly Premiere, will launch its new HD services in Germany and Austria in July, comprising Sky Cinema HD, Disney Cinemagic HD, Sky Sport HD, Eursoport HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and History HD.

Separately, A&E Television Networks (AETN) and The History Channel Germany (a joint venture between AETN and NBC Universal Global Networks Deutschland) will launch History HD and SD and The Biography Channel on the Sky Deutschland pay-TV platform on July 4, marking the launch of History HD in German-speaking markets in Europe.
