Kabel BW to launch 100Mbps this year

German cable operator Kabel BW is to launch 100Mbps broadband services in the second half of this year.

Kabel BW said it would be the first service provider to launch 100Mbps services across an entire German state. The operator said its entire network would be capable of offering the service by mid-2010. Kabel BW intends to launch the high speed service in three areas initially, to be announced soon.
