Deutsche Telekom chooses football production partner

German telco Deutsche Telekom is set to announce Deutsche Sportfersehen as the production partner for its IPTV coverage of the Bundesliga football league, according to newspaper Handelsblatt.

Deutsche Telekom will end its relationship with pay-TV operator Premiere, which had produced the telco’s football coverage in the past. The telco is expected to reveal Deutsche Sportfersehen, a unit of German sports and entertainment media company Constantin Medien, as the winning bidder later today. Broadcaster Spiegel TV was also reported to have made a bid.
