SES Astra signs Spanish broadband deal

Satellite operator SES Astra has signed a new contract to market its high-speed internet access product ASTRA2Connect to Spanish consumers.

Distribution partner Net2 will market ASTRA2Connect in the Iberian Peninsula, including the Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. It will offer four different speed packages with download rates of up to 2Mbps.
ASTRA2Connect enables people in rural areas to get high-speed internet without the need for terrestrial support. It was launched in 2007 and is now available in fourteen countries throughout Europe.
